41 SUD: A New Challenge for the Crew!

The 41 SUD crew is made up of seven members: Jérôme Mercier (skipper), François Flaud, Yohan Aubert, Doriane Le Flot, Gwenn Cariou, Ronan Cariou, and Bernard Favre.

“We are very motivated for this new edition of the Groupama Race,” says the skipper. “Last year’s cancellation was a big disappointment, but it gave us extra time to prepare the boat.”

This will be Jérôme’s first time as a skipper in the Groupama Race, having previously participated as a crew member. “My best memory? Sailing past Havannah under spinnaker with 25 knots of westerly wind and some seriously twisted waves…” he recalls.

The team is already eager to set sail again. “The Groupama Race is a magnificent offshore race, full of adventure. We want to have a great race with everyone in top shape – including the boat”, concludes the skipper.
