Official statement – GR24 postponed

Dear partners, skippers and committed to the Groupama Race,

Due to the recent events and civil unrest in New Caledonia, we are unfortunately forced to postpone the 8th edition of New Caledonia Groupama Race, which had its departure initially scheduled for June 9 in Noumea.

Indeed, this major nautical race organized since 2008 by the Cercle Nautique Caledonien, Groupama Pacifique and their many partners can not take place without the complete mobilization of all, local and foreign crews, sponsors, service providers, rescue services and volunteers.

Our priority today is to help and support the economic and social fabric of the territory in its reconstruction.

New Caledonia Groupama Race is registered in the local and international nautical calendar, so we are doing our best to postpone this edition to the same period, in 2025.

We would like to sincerely thank all those who have already embarked on this adventure, whether through their participation, financial support, logistics or enthusiasm.

We will come back to each of you, engaged and partners, in the coming days to detail the practical modalities.
